Volleyball Recap: Seguin Beats Brackenridge for Their Fourth Straight Win

Seguin entered their tilt with Brackenridge on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Matadors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Seguin was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-6, 25-6.

Seguin can attribute much of their success to Danica Rushlow, who had nine digs and three aces. That's the most aces Rushlow has posted since back in August.

Rushlow wasn't the only good server: Seguin was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in four consecutive contests.

Seguin's record now sits at 23-14. As for Brackenridge, they dropped their record down to 7-20 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Seguin will take on rival Sam Houston at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Brackenridge is set to challenge their familiar foe Edison at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
