Volleyball Recap: Thomas More Prep-Marian Comes Up Short

Thomas More Prep-Marian was the 2-0 winner over Hoxie when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Monarchs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians on Tuesday. The Monarchs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The match finished with set scores of 31-29, 26-24.

Bria Windholz paced Thomas More Prep-Marian's offense, picking up nine kills. Windholz got some help from Bridget Feldt and her eight assists.

Thomas More Prep-Marian now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Hoxie, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Thomas More Prep-Marian has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Russell on the 16th. As for Hoxie, they will venture away from home to challenge McCook on Thursday.
