Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gulf Coast HEAT). They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 90-45 victory over the Sarasota Military Academy Eagles. Given Gulf Coast HEAT's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 369th, while Sarasota Military Academy is ranked 777th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Gulf Coast HEAT's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cayden Bosso led the charge by shooting 5-for-8 from long range and almost dropping a double-double on 30 points and nine assists. Those 30 points gave Bosso a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Westin Lacey, who went 12 of 14 en route to 27 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds.

Bosso wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Gulf Coast HEAT was working as a unit and finished the game with 26 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The win was the third in a row for Gulf Coast HEAT, bringing their record for this year to 12-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.0 points per game. As for Sarasota Military Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
