Soccer Game Preview: Lynnwood vs. Meadowdale

The Lynnwood Royals will square off against the Meadowdale Mavericks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Lynnwood is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Shorewood on Friday. The Royals fell just short of the Stormrays by a score of 2-1. The defeat continues a trend for Lynnwood in their meetings with Shorewood: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Meadowdale kept a clean sheet against Shorecrest on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Scots. The victory was all the more spectacular given Meadowdale's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 214th, while Shorecrest are ranked 55th).

Meadowdale's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-10-1. As for Lynnwood, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9-1.

Lynnwood skirted past Meadowdale 2-1 in their previous meeting on April 1st. Do the Royals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mavericks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
