Midland Legacy hadn't done well against Odessa recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Midland Legacy's pitchers stepped up to hand Odessa a 3-0 shutout. For the Rebels, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Bronchos walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2021.

Midland Legacy is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. Odessa is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.
