Basketball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

After flying high against Columbus International last Friday, Centennial came back down to earth. The Centennial Stars took a 68-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Franklin Heights Falcons. The Stars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2020.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Franklin Heights, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-6.

Coming up, Centennial will be playing at home against Beechcroft at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Franklin Heights, they will head out on the road to take on Columbus Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Franklin Heights' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten contests.
