Baseball Recap: Luther Comes Up Short

Luther blew Meeker out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Meeker got their revenge. The Lions might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 4-2 to the Bulldogs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Lions just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Luther saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bo Browning, who went 2-for-3 with one triple. That triple was Browning's first of the season.

Luther now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Meeker, their win bumped their record up to 16-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Luther will challenge Wellston at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Meeker, they will square off against Holdenville at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolverines have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
