Baseball Recap: Mound-Westonka Comes Up Short

Mound-Westonka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hutchinson Tigers. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 2, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Mound-Westonka saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jameson Damato, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. That double marked the first that Damato has hit this season.

Mound-Westonka's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Hutchinson, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mound-Westonka will take on Holy Family Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hutchinson, they will head out to face off against Rocori at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
