Baseball Recap: Altus Comes Up Short

If Altus was riding high fresh off their 19-1 takedown of Del City on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs lost 10-4 to the Childress Bobcats on Tuesday.

Altus' loss dropped their record down to 11-13-1. As for Childress, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-15.

Altus and Childress could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in their respective state rankings. The Bulldogs will square off against Elk City at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (216 vs. 104). Meanwhile, Childress (ranked 991st) will meet Tulia (ranked 492nd) at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
