Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Lydia Williams and Embry Carlton Lead New Covenant to Victory + How To Watch

New Covenant proved they can win big on Friday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Jefferson Forest Cavaliers, sneaking past 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Gryphons sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

New Covenant took Jefferson Forest into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-23, 25-18, 17-25, 15-13.

New Covenant was led to victory by Embry Carlton and Lydia Williams. Carlton had 20 digs and two assists, while Williams had six aces. That's the most digs Carlton has posted since back in August of 2024.

New Covenant's victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

New Covenant wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Lynchburg HomeSchool on the 29th. As for Jefferson Forest, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Staunton River on the 28th.
