Football Recap: Bremen Blue Devils vs. Temple Tigers
After flying high against Model last Friday, Bremen came back down to earth. The Bremen Blue Devils received a blow on Friday as they fell 34-18 to the Temple Tigers. The Blue Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2021.
Cj Gray was his usual excellent self, rushing for 182 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry for Temple. Gray's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 177 rushing yards dating back to last season. Serjoe Jones was in the mix as well, providing Temple with two touchdowns.
Bremen's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Temple, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bremen will square off against Pepperell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bremen is facing Pepperell at the right time seeing as Pepperell is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Temple, they will take on Heard County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Heard County is coming into the contest with three straight victories at home, so Temple will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
