Softball Recap: Dumont Comes Up Short

Dumont was the 7-1 winner over Paramus when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Huskies fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 9-8 on Saturday.

Dumont's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-8. As for Paramus, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-9.

Coming up, Dumont will look to defend their home field on Monday against Pascack Hills at 4:15 p.m. As for Paramus, they are taking a road trip to square off against Hackensack at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Comets have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
