Softball Recap: Glassboro Takes a Loss

Glassboro came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 19-8 to the Pennsville Memorial Eagles. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost eight in a row.

Glassboro now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Pennsville Memorial, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glassboro will welcome Woodstown at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolverines have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. As for Pennsville Memorial, they will be playing at home against Salem at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
