Soccer Game Preview: Moody vs. Springville

Moody is 1-8-1 against Springville since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Blue Devils are taking a road trip to face off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Moody came up short against Lincoln and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, Moody can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 126th, while Lincoln are ranked 47th).

Meanwhile, Springville entered their tilt with St. Clair County on Tuesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. Their defense stepped up to hand the Fighting Saints a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Springville, who have now won eight games by three goals or more so far this season.

Moody's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8-1. As for Springville, their win bumped their record up to 9-1-1.

Moody might still be hurting after the 6-0 loss they got from Springville in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
