Basketball Game Preview: Justice Wolves vs. Hayfield Hawks

Justice hasn't had much luck against Hayfield recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Justice Wolves will head out on the road to square off against the Hayfield Hawks at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Justice will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Falls Church, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Justice came out on top against Falls Church by a score of 52-44 on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolves.

Meanwhile, Hayfield had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They breezed past the Majors to the tune of 54-27. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 23 points or more this season.

Hayfield's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.9 points over those games. As for Justice, their victory bumped their record up to 10-12.

Justice might still be hurting after the 49-26 defeat they got from Hayfield in their previous matchup back in January. Can Justice avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
