The York Cougars are taking a road trip to challenge the Dreher Blue Devils at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. York will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
York is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Richland Northeast with a sharp 18-1 victory on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Cavaliers: they've now won eight in a row.

Layla Clayton made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Blakely Whitby was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Kayla Johnson was another key player, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3.
York kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Dreher hadn't done well against Ridge View recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Dreher was the clear victor by a 15-5 margin over Ridge View. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won three contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Like York, Dreher also got a great game from a two-way player: Rory McCormack. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. McCormack was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-1.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kendall Gipson, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jameelah Warren, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
York's record is now 8-3. As for Dreher, their record now sits at 3-4.
