Softball Recap: North Pole Falls Short Against Ranked Delta

North Pole faced Delta in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Patriots lost 16-1 to the Huskies. The Patriots' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

North Pole saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison McGhee, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.

North Pole's loss dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Delta, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.

While North Pole had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
