Basketball Recap: Gill St. Bernard's Falls Short Against Ranked St. Peter's Prep

On Sunday, Gill St. Bernard faced St. Peter's Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Gill St. Bernard's Knights fell 45-38 to the St. Peter's Prep Marauders. That makes it the first time this season the Knights have let down their home crowd.

Gill St. Bernard's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-3. As for St. Peter's Prep, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gill St. Bernard's will square off against Hillsborough at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Peter's Prep, they will take on Union City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
