It was a good run, but East Chambers unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Orangefield Bobcats, falling 8-0. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Buccaneers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Isabella Quave spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered eight runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

East Chambers' loss dropped their record down to 13-6-1. As for Orangefield, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Chambers will face off against Anahuac at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Anahuac is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season. As for Orangefield, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Orangefield Bobcats duke it out with Kountze Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
