Soccer Recap: Chowchilla Takes a Loss

Chowchilla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fresno Christian Eagles. Chowchilla were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Fresno Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2025.

Chowchilla's goal came courtesy of Jacob Gomez, who's now up to six this season.

Chowchilla's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11-1. As for Fresno Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-8-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Chowchilla will take on rival Minarets at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Fresno Christian is set to challenge their familiar foe Parlier at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
