Football Recap: Forney Jackrabbits vs. North Forney Falcons
After flying high against Boswell last Friday, Forney came back down to earth. The Jackrabbits received a blow on Friday as they fell 35-16 to the North Forney Falcons. The Jackrabbits were not able to make up for their defeat to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.
Javian Osborne and Nelson Peterson Jr. certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Osborne gained 160 total yards and a touchdown, while Peterson Jr. rushed for 90 yards on only 12 carries.
Leading North Forney to victory were Legend Bey and Andikan Asuquo. Bey rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, while Asuquo rushed for 124 yards and one TD on only 13 carries. That's the most rushing yards Asuquo has posted since back in October of 2024.
Forney's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for North Forney, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Coming up, Forney will look to defend their home field on Friday against Royse City at 7:30 p.m. The Jackrabbits will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for North Forney, they will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Tyler Legacy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will be up against the Raiders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 42.6 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
