Brock Burkett's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Keller over Byron Nelson
Starting off the list is Keller's Brock Burkett, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Burkett rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 185 yards on 14 of 28 attempts. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.

Davis Penn was instrumental in extending Southlake Carroll's winning streak to seven on Thursday. Penn turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 131 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
Penn must have V.R. Eaton's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Penn rushed for 128 yards and four touchdowns on only nine carries the last time he and the Eagles duked it out back in October of 2023.

Boyd Made His Presence Known in Southlake Carroll's 50-14 Win
Brock Boyd's big game helped extend Southlake Carroll's winning streak to seven on Thursday. Nobody could stop Boyd as he picked up 79 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
For the season, Boyd has caught 10 touchdowns while averaging 110.4 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he had three receiving touchdowns.
