Volleyball Recap: D'Evelyn Comes Up Short + How To Watch

D'Evelyn had lost three straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 6-13 to make it four. They came up short against the Standley Lake Gators, falling 3-0. The Jaguars were not able to make up for their loss to the Gators from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

D'Evelyn's offense was headlined by Hazel Hermes and Jacqui Laraway, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Arianna Griffin and her nine assists. Reece Benton controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

As for Standley Lake, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-2. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 15, 2021, but that streak is no more.

Among those leading the charge was Maryn Paulson, who had 14 digs and two assists.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. D'Evelyn is set to face off against their familiar foe Pomona at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Standley Lake will challenge rival Green Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
