Volleyball Recap: Owensboro Catholic Comes Up Short

If Owensboro Catholic was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Owensboro on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Aces came up short against the Bowling Green Purples on Thursday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Aces in their meetings with the Purples: they've now lost three in a row.

Bowling Green's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from JoEllen Marshall, who had 18 assists and three digs. That's the most assists Marshall has posted over her last nine contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Liv Arauz, who had ten digs and one assist.

Owensboro Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Bowling Green, their victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-3.

Coming up, Owensboro Catholic will face off against Daviess County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bowling Green, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Faith Academy on the 4th.
