Basketball Game Preview: Artesia Pioneers vs. Westminster Lions

Two dominant guards in CJ Okeke and Sean Le are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. Having just played yesterday, the Artesia Pioneers will jump right back in to play the Westminster Lions at 1:45 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Artesia is headed into Thursday's game hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-52 heartbreaker at the hands of Oxford Academy.

Meanwhile, Westminster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by Valencia and fell 69-32. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-13.

Westminster's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Artesia, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-7.
