Soccer Recap: Long Branch Comes Up Short

Long Branch managed to slip by Barnegat the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Green Wave came up short against the Bengals on Wednesday, falling 7-1. Long Branch were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Barnegat apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2018.

Long Branch's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Barnegat, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Long Branch will face off against Trinity Hall at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Barnegat, they will venture away from home to take on Toms River North at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
