Softball Recap: Daphne Victorious

Daphne had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the South Jones Braves, sneaking past 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Daphne saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Claire Senese, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

South Jones' defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.

Daphne wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 18-15 win against Madison Central on the 23rd. As for South Jones, they have also already played their next matchup, an 11-1 loss against Petal on the 27th.
