It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mt. Spokane had no problem doing just that on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Walla Walla Blue Devils as they made off with a 12-2 win. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Mt. Spokane is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Walla Walla, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-16.

Mt. Spokane and Walla Walla are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Wildcats will head out to face off against Kennewick at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mt. Spokane will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least ten runs in their last eight contests. As for Walla Walla, they will challenge Shadle Park at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Devils are facing the Highlanders at the right time seeing as the Highlanders are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
