Trinity's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They put the hurt on the Surry Central Golden Eagles with a sharp 48-24 victory. The Bulldogs not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 6, 2024 (when they won 54-22).

Khad'N Fuller continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 168 yards and four TDs while picking up 7.6 yards per carry, and also throwing for 122 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Zaire Gill got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Trinity's run defense was locked in: Surry Central could only muster 3.5 yards per carry. The team can thank Jax Dillard for the heroic effort on defense: he. Trinity didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.1.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Trinity, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Gill, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Trinity's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Surry Central, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Trinity and Surry Central will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Bulldogs see the field they'll take on East Davidson at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. As for Surry Central, their break will end when they face East Surry at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
