Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Whitfield). Everything went their way against the Mark Twain Tigers on Saturday as they made off with a 13-4 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Warriors needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Whitfield is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-16 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Mark Twain, their defeat was their 12th straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-19.

Coming up, Whitfield will square off against Elsberry at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a three-game losing streak. Mark Twain does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
