Recap: Bancroft-Rosalie Panthers vs. Winside Wildcats
The Bancroft-Rosalie Panthers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They really took it to Winside for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-22 win at home. With Bancroft-Rosalie ahead 37-15 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Bancroft-Rosalie's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addison James led the charge by scoring eight points along with five steals. James hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenna James, who scored seven points along with six assists and two steals.
Bancroft-Rosalie's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points per game. As for Winside, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
Bancroft-Rosalie won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Lyons-Decatur Northeast has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 19. Winside will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against the Wolfpack at 6:00 p.m. on January 27th. Hopefully Tri County Northeast focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Tuesday.
