Recap: Crean Lutheran Saints vs. Pacifica Mariners
The Crean Lutheran Saints can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent contest on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Pacifica as Crean Lutheran made off with a 73-50 win. Given Crean Lutheran's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while Pacifica is ranked 429th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Crean Lutheran found their leader in underclassman Kaiden Bailey, who scored 27 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Matt Ciftcikara, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Crean Lutheran has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season. As for Pacifica, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-9.
Crean Lutheran will take on St. Mary's at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Mary's knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine matches -- so hopefully Crean Lutheran likes a good challenge. As for Pacifica, they will head out on the road to challenge Tustin at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
