Basketball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Cornerstone Christian waltzed into their match on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They snuck past San Antonio Patriots HomeSchool with a 76-71 win. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 121st, while San Antonio Patriots HomeSchool are ranked 260th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cornerstone Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carter Crist, who went 7 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points in addition to seven assists and six boards. The dominant performance gave Crist a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Benjamin Wagner, who went 7 of 8 on his way to 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Crist wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Cornerstone Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 26 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
