Baseball Recap: Parkway South's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

Parkway South has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.17 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They fell just short of the Liberty Eagles by a score of 10-9. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Parkway South saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Sullivan, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Sullivan a new career-high in doubles (two).

Having lost for the first time this season, Parkway South fell to 5-1. As for Liberty, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parkway South will take on Eureka at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Liberty, they will square off against Chaminade at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty is facing Chaminade at the right time seeing as Chaminade is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
