Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Pecos walked away with it. They took down the Mesa Vista Trojans 52-36 on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Despite the loss, Mesa Vista still got an impressive performance from Tana Lopez, who posted 18 points in addition to seven steals and five rebounds. Lopez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 16 games she's played. Aubrey Maestas was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Pecos pushed their record up to 26-6 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points over those games. As for Mesa Vista, with the defeat, they broke their 15-game winning streak and moved their record to 26-4.

Pecos wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 57-53 loss against Tatum on the 14th. Mesa Vista does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
