Volleyball Recap: Concord Christian Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Concord Christian had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Farragut Admirals by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Admirals recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Concord Christian took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 16-25, 18-25, 25-21, 15-9.

Despite the defeat, Concord Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Nola Lawrence had 17 digs.

Concord Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against West on the 19th. As for Farragut, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Maryville on the 19th.
