Basketball Recap: DeKalb Comes Up Short

DeKalb was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 84-17 to the Stewartsville Cardinals, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 83-20 back in December of 2024.

DeKalb's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Stewartsville, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

When DeKalb and Stewartsville next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. DeKalb will try to stop Rock Port's five-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on January 21st. Meanwhile, Stewartsville will square off against Mound City and their three-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st.
