Baseball Recap: Cory-Rawson Comes Up Short

Cory-Rawson extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping them down to 2-9. They lost 14-0 to the Ridgemont Golden Gophers. The Fighting Hornets were not able to make up for their loss to the Golden Gophers from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

As for Ridgemont, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-4. Considering they have won five contests by more than 11 runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

For Ridgemont's part, Ethan Moore made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Moore was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

In other batting news, Kane Ramsey was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted over his last nine games. Cole Henry was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
