Recap: Cicero Prep Academy Centurions vs. Maryvale Prep Matador
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 46-13, which was the final score in Cicero Prep Academy's tilt against the Matador on Friday.
Despite the loss, Cicero Prep Academy still got an impressive performance from Maggie Hooppaw, who scored 12 points along with four steals and two blocks. Hooppaw has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times she's played.
Cicero Prep Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Maryvale Prep, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cicero Prep Academy will face off against the Lobos at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Maryvale Prep, they will head out on the road to take on the Gladiators at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully North Phoenix Preparatory Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 33 on Monday.
