With a playoff win on the line, Pender rose to the challenge on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Farmville Central Jaguars a 1-0 shutout. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Pender were the better team in the second half.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Sean Curtis, who's now up to nine this season.

Pender's win bumped their record up to 10-11-3. As for Farmville Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5-2.
