Softball Recap: Marana Falls Short of Boulder Creek in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Marana can now relate to. They fell 4-0 to the Boulder Creek Jaguars on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Bella Sayre was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one double.

Marana has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-14 record this season. As for Boulder Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 20-8.

Marana does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Boulder Creek, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-0 loss against Xavier College Prep on the 3rd.
