Basketball Recap: Greenway Piles Up the Points Against Shadow Mountain

Greenway won the last time they faced Shadow Mountain and things went their way on Thursday too. The Greenway Demons blew past the Shadow Mountain Matadors 56-17. The Demons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 35 points or more this season.

Greenway was led to victory by Raven Gayden and Jadyn Comeno. Gayden posted six points in addition to eight boards and five assists, while Comeno put up 11 points and four steals. Gayden is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Alexandra Vazquez, who had eight points.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Greenway was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shadow Mountain only posted three assists.

Greenway has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 44.3 points. As for Shadow Mountain, they dropped their record down to 0-9 with the loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Greenway will head out to take on Moon Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Greenway is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games. As for Shadow Mountain, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 33-22 defeat against North Canyon on the 13th.
