The Kettle Moraine Lutheran Chargers will head out to face off against the Oakfield Oaks at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Kettle Moraine Lutheran is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.

Kettle Moraine Lutheran is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Wisconsin's top teams: Kewaskum, who was ranked 23rd at the time (Kettle Moraine Lutheran was ranked eighth). The Chargers fell just short of the Indians by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. The Chargers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Brooklyn Luehring made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Hess, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Oakfield made easy work of Horicon last Thursday and carried off a 9-3 victory.

Kettle Moraine Lutheran's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Oakfield, they pushed their record up to 1-0 with the win, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Kettle Moraine Lutheran couldn't quite finish off Oakfield in their previous meeting back in April of 2023 and fell 4-2. Can the Chargers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
