Bristol Central waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Northwest Catholic Lions. The Rams were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Lions, so the Rams were just returning the favor.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Bristol Central was: they took every set by at least 18 points. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-7, 25-7.

Lily Kirk paced Bristol Central's offense, picking up nine kills. Kirk got some help from Gillian Gray and her 25 assists. Kirk was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Bristol Central's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Northwest Catholic, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Bristol Central is set to square off against their familiar foe Simsbury at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Northwest Catholic will take on rival Bristol Eastern at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
