Trinity is a perfect 4-0 against St. Francis since February of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Trinity Blazers will look to defend their home court against the St. Francis Spartans at 6:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Trinity is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Schurz 82-22. Given the Blazers' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 606th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Francis). They blew past Pritzker 63-8 on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Trinity better keep an eye on T?a Rubino. She was instrumental in St. Francis' win, going 8-for-15 to rack up 20 points. That's the most points Rubino has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Riley Austin, who had four points along with seven assists, six boards, and six steals.

St. Francis was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Trinity has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 22-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points over those games. As for St. Francis, their win bumped their record up to 9-22.

Trinity beat St. Francis 55-47 in their previous matchup on February 3rd. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Austin, who went 7-for-16 en route to 22 points and three steals.
