Baseball Recap: West Salem Takes a Loss

West Salem was the 2-1 winner over Mountain View when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Titans fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 5-4 on Saturday. Titans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Cougars since on Saturday.

West Salem's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Mountain View, with the win, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Salem will head out to face off against Sherwood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Titans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bowmen have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Mountain View, they will square off against Redmond at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Cougars' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
