Basketball Game Preview: North Baltimore Tigers vs. McComb Panthers

The North Baltimore Tigers will challenge the McComb Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

North Baltimore had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 43-point drubbing they dealt Crestline on Tuesday. The Tigers took their game with ease, bagging a 59-16 victory over the Bulldogs. The Tigers pushed the score to 52-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs had no chance of recovering from.

Lacie Allison had a dynamite game, shooting 5-for-8 from deep and dropping a double-double with 39 points and ten steals. Her afternoon made it 24 games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Allison, who posted a point along with seven boards, seven steals, and six assists.

Meanwhile, McComb gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They really took it to Vanlue for the full four quarters, racking up a 46-7 win. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

North Baltimore ended up a good deal behind McComb when the teams last played back in December of 2024, losing 51-32. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
