Georgetown Day came tearing into  Friday's  matchup with ten straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Bishop Ireton Cardinals with a sharp  3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mighty Hoppers also won the last time the pair played  back in October of 2024.
 The final score came out to 25-12, 25-13,  25-18.
Georgetown Day's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Ella Higday led the charge by  getting six  digs and three  aces. The dominant performance also gave  Higday a new career-high in  assists (four).
 Higday wasn't the only good servers: Georgetown Day  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with ten  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least six  aces in 11 consecutive  contests.
Georgetown Day's record is now 16-1. As for Bishop Ireton, their loss dropped their record down to 11-14.
 Georgetown Day wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  match,  a  3-0  win against Bullis on the 27th. As for Bishop Ireton, they have also already played their next matchup,  a  3-0  defeat against Paul VI on the 28th.
