Pike hasn't had much luck against North Central recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Red Devils will host the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. Pike is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
On Saturday, Pike got the win against Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter by a conclusive 13-2.

Rory Weaver was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two doubles and two RBI.
In other batting news, AJ Dawkins was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Pike is undefeated when Dawkins posts two or more runs, but 3-4-1 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Joe Williams, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Pike always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Indianapolis Lutheran hit North Central with a four-run seventh inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers lost 12-1 to the Saints. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Saints recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
North Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Scott, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Pike is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for North Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Pike's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's contest. The Red Devils have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for North Central, though, as they've been averaging only 0.7 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Pike continue to outrun the ball?
Pike might still be hurting after the 9-3 loss they got from North Central when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Red Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
