Monocacy Valley - Antietam recap November 5, 2013

North Hagerstown's Preston Carey recorded the longest rushing play in Monocacy Valley - Antietam this season in his game against Brunswick last week. Carey ran for 97 yards on the play and finished with 191 on the day as his team topped the Railroaders.

Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, South Hagerstown beat Williamsport 57-0. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Rebels.

North Hagerstown's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Carey contributed 191 yards. Isaiah Keyes helped North Hagerstown's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 48 yards.

Carey provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Danny Cunningham's team bested Brunswick. Carey's favorite target this week was Carey, who caught 4 passes for 47 yards.

Carey was the most successful running back in the league this week. Teammate Austin Stone added to the ground attack by rushing for 98 yards.

The Wildcats' Saavon Brown and Colby Byers have formed a dream team this season, leading Monocacy Valley - Antietam in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Brown has thrown for 1,061 yards this season, while Byers has 34 catches for 396 yards. The Hubs' Keyes leads the league in rushing yards with 1,284.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place South Hagerstown takes on second place North Hagerstown.

Two of the top teams in the league will go toe-to-toe this week when North Hagerstown takes on South Hagerstown. The Hubs' offense has racked up 278 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Toby Peer's team has allowed only 151 on the year.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when North Hagerstown takes on the Rebels. The Hubs have allowed 159 points this season, while South Hagerstown has given up 151. North Hagerstown allowed 14 points last week as it topped Patt Foste's team.

Williamsport fell to the Rebels 57-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
